These are the areas where we know our customers are, by putting efforts into these areas we can get the most out of the marketing strategy. Remember your target customer, your customer profiles, this is where your customer is, use your knowledge of who your customer is to where you need to go to market.

Use a combination of tools. Remember everyone consumes media and remembers in different ways. Using different media increases the likelihood of someone remembering your message. Think about how many touchpoints you want the average person in your target audience to receive (8). Not everyone will see all communication you put out.

Repetition is KEY. The more your customer hears or sees something the more likely they are to remember it. And when they have a need for your service, you will be at the forefront of their memory.

Repetition also builds credibility. If someone remembers your brand they are unconsciously biased towards it. This comes into play every day with brand names in supermarkets. They consistently sell in higher volumes than own brand products, because customers are familiar with them, and because they like the brand. There is a high perceived value.

Marketing isn’t always about instant reward. Repetition, and consistency to build a credible brand are key to converting your target market into customers. This could be 1 week, 1 month, or 6  months down the line.
