Once you have completed your Franchise Training it is essential that you maximise your time to ensure that your business starts trading as soon as possible. We recommend that as much time as possible be spent on sales and marketing activity at the beginning. As part of your franchise we offer a marketing mentor package which supports this online training section.
Start with a strategy and a vision
Knowing where to start from the brainstorm previous can be daunting we get that, but planning is key! Before you jump in
with two feet think about your marketing strategy.
Three questions you need to ask yourself
1.WHY does your business exist – what are you values?
2.WHY should people buy from you?
3.WHY do you need a marketing plan – what are your
business aims? Think about the fundamental desires you have for your
business.
You need to be specific with your marketing objectives. The success or failure of a strategy is very much defined by setting measurable objectives. To achieve this objectives should be SMART
- Specific – Must have a specific outcome
- Measurable – Must be able to track and evaluate the success of the objective.
- Attainable – Must have achievable an achievable outcome to reach your goal.
- Relevant – Must make sure the resources are available to achieve the objective i.e. people, funds, equipment, materials and time.
- Time – What is the specific time frame in which to achieve your objectives?
YOU, and the way you act, are your best marketing asset
The way you talk, smile, walk.
The way you love all your babies equally.
The way you don’t check your phone when mums are coming into a class; you welcome them and coo over baby
It’s the “LITTLE THINGS THAT COUNT” and these little things are hugely powerful marketing tactics. Marketing doesn’t stop in class – don’t ever neglect a customer – really work hard on loving them. They are worth so much more to you than one class or one block – they are years’ worth of custom (per child), they are referrals and recommendations.
A well-loved customer is like a ripple effect. “Being kind costs nothing” there is so much truth to this advice behind the Customer Experience and Brand Protection sections of the Operations Manual. A customers experience will determine whether another prospective customer attends your classes in the first place. It will also determine whether they will continue to attend and make referrals on your behalf. It is essential to maximise the customers experience from the initial enquiry. Any customer is under the care and guidance of an expert Kalma Baby teacher and they should be made to feel special. This will be seen in the professionalism, attitude and responsiveness of every contact within the company.
Learn and use the names of your mums and babies such simple advice but so powerful! When customers feel loved they will sing your praises. Knowing their name is subconsciously powerful; they have no idea you purposely set out to remember their name, they are just impressed and touched that you did. Round robins are given in plans to prompt you to ask about your customers-so ask!
