Retaining Schools and Getting Further Bookings

It is always easier to try to get more sessions in the schools you are already in, as the hardest part is usually getting the initial contact and school booking. So here’s a few ways to try to help with that:

Make your sessions amazing!

Obviously the best thing you can do is make your sessions so amazing that they can’t help but book you again 😉 Remember to make a good impression on the staff who are in the sessions with you as well as making sure the children are loving every minute. Use opportunities in sessions to show and discuss what they are learning and link back to EYFS or National Curriculum. One franchisee used our milestone cards in a nursery setting to help them to tick their boxes for the childrens development and they loved that.

Ask for feedback

ALWAYS give out your feedback forms in the penultimate week of term, or on the day if its a day booking. These are on Dropbox and there’s one for the class teacher and children and one for the person who booked you (PE co-ordinator etc). These are so useful. Once you get the forms back (which will of course be amazing!) and you have to be the one to chase them sometimes, make it easy and supply them, maybe even ask them to do it during the session or go back and pick them up. But once you’ve got them, USE THEM! Send the classroom feedback to the person who booked you, or even better to the headteacher if you can. This is also a great opportunity to tell them you’ve loved working there and hope to return. Also, post your feedback on your social media – shout about it!

Always follow up

If they’ve booked you got a term or half term, ask them which year groups would they like you to work with next!

Dazzle them in the last week

Make the most of the final week to make them want to book you again! A brilliant idea from one of the franchisees was to do a little show in the final week of an after school club for the parents which went down really well.
