What is training?
Learning can take many forms and our goal is to encourage our behavior and persona to be the best at what we do. Training in our field is not about attending just one day and hoping we are equipped with the knowledge and characteristics to be able to deliver it. Training is a process where by the participants continue until the knowledge, skills and attitudes are applied regularly.
Training includes:
Evaluating the effectiveness of what you deliver
Creating learning opportunities
Ensuring buy in from participants
Training is teaching, or developing in oneself or others, any skills and knowledge or fitness that relate to specific useful competencies. Training has specific goals of improving one’s capability, capacity, productivity and performance. The correct training will ensure our teachers are equipped with the necessary skills to deliver yoga and mindfulness effectively and competently.
Presenting is part of training and if you already hold skills such as confident speaking and good pacing skills then your already on a great track for delivering. However if you lack certain skills in resenting then this is something we can help develop. Presenting is not just about speaking and training in our sessions uses demonstration, guided practice and activities too.
An agenda will always be supplied for our training sessions. However the trainers role includes:
Ensuring all participate
Ensure all understand
Create a safe environment
Keep a check on the participants by providing regular check ins throughout the session. This helps to make sure everyone is following and on track. Keep up with interaction so they have lots of energy. It helps to use a whit board or flip chart to help foster cohesiveness in the group.
