Mindful School Assembly

Mindfulness is a great tool to teach children to allow them to be present in moments of life, it helps them in choosing a skillful response, instead of succumbing to visceral reactions. Practicing mindfulness has been shown to improve attention and reduce stress as well as increase one’s ability to regulate emotions and feel compassion and empathy.  Mindfulness also is widely considered an effective psychotherapy treatment for adults, children, and adolescents with aggression, ADHD, or mental health problems such as anxiety. Mindfulness can help children with their ability to get along with other children. Help them to be more optimistic and enhance their self-concept, self-regulation, and self-management. Children can have benefits of improved planning and organisational skills, and support reduced impulse control and less reactivity.
